Kurdish Issue! PPK should not be considered as a terrorist organisation

PKK like all old-fashioned socialist movements seeks to get what it wants on many ways. When you opponent is a oppressive regime that pretends been secular and modern but deep down is a state with values on Islam, then you have to get your guns and resist. Like many other movements, including America's war on revolution and the tea incident, people have taken the guns for their liberation.

You can not deny on 30 million people to have their own nation! PKK should get our support, we can donate money on Kurdish cultural centres and local PKK offices

buzz it!

All methods and ideologies implied by PKK are charecteristic of a terrorist organization. It is outrageous trying to justify them by presenting them as nothing more than an "old-fashioned socialist movement"!

Their structure has stalinistic characteristics and not only that, but their cosmotheory has deep religious roots. They are not fighting in favour of a secular state, as they themselves are the most fundamentalist muslim elements in their country.

Supporting such people and such methods is considered a crime against humanity, you know. Or don't you?

Hi, Resistance against a regime is something else as blowing up civilians. While I'm all for democracy, I think it is defeinitely a bad idea to support communists and Islamists. What do you know about PJAK? Read about it here: http://newcitizenship.blogspot.com/2007/10/kurdistan-plot-thickening.html
By the way, there's also new comment to your comment on Berlin-Tehran connection here:

Cheers! Cassandra.

guys PKK is not like what it was few years ago, there are incidents where bombs were plotted from Buykanit and his guys (remember last year's bomb in a bookstore in Diyarkabir?). My point is why not to call terrorist a group like Gray wolves that terrorises not only in Turkey but also in EU.

You do not prove your point by calling for donations in favour of PKK!

In the name of all the innocent civilian victims and as a reader of your blog I demand an apology!

There is a war inside Turkey! Millions of people are denied the right to be treated as free citizens.
And they feel that they are under Occupation. Therefore, they resist!

However, I decline every action that results to the death of innocent people.

The only solution to this would be the envolvement of the E.U. as a referee in a discussion between the two parties.

Lets not forget that human rights in Turkey are under limitations, that people are imprisoned because they think in a different way.

They should set them free (including Otsalan), they should stop banning the differencies, they should acknowledge Kurds their legal rights and participate in a dialogue with them...

PPK has denied most of the terror attacks that have occured in turkey during the past years and in general wants to make negotiations with the official turkish state, something that the turkish state denies to do. If you remember, last year it was unveiled that a series of bombings in S.E. Turkey were made from the Army. PKK is in defence not in offence and that makes a difference.

There may be some terror activities from islamists, from gray wolves or from individual kurds but not from PKK.

In defence is the kurdish population living within Turkey, as represented by their national deputies, not PKK. And PKK militant activity defames their struggle acting as an agent provocateur.

I do remember the instigating bombings, but you do forget all the attrocities commited by PKK terrorists: drug trade, children as soldiers, resorting to kidnappings, assasinations and bombing of villages, commercial buildings and touristic facilities.

Apparantly not only you, but many supporters of the Panhellenic Socialist Movement (PA.SO.K.) choose to live in denial when it comes to such beasts. And your posting an article in english only exposes you and your peers to a broader public.

If PKK hadnt any support from local kurds, it wouldnt exist. HOwever, PKK has asked to negotiate with Turkey, while it has stop any activities against civilians since the cease fire of the late 90's.

Turkey shall give them a chance and negotiate instead of killing kurds.

PASOK and many other parties have supported the Kurds, dont forget that ROJ TV is based in Denmark.
